How in GOD's name can someone from another state tell people how the spill did or did not effect them? O trust me, I know how people may be trying to cash in, but once you started issuing the big checks, you messed up! Who's taking responsibility for paying "Rally's workers"? DUH!First of all, only those that work in the seafood industry or those that depend on tourism should have been paid! I really believe that Casino workers should have been paid as we'll and New Orleans Entertainers that depend on Tourist! How the heck would someone who does not live here know that??? Common sense would have been to just pay everyone within a ceratin radius a few bucks and call it a day! Bam!!! Instead, you got mass caos and now what could have been smooth sailing is a drowning titanic!Pay those people that rely on tourism and in New Orleans only,include entertainers(what idiot does not know that Bourbon Street is the main attaraction in Nola)they rely on touruist! I beleive that Hotels, Casino workers, bartenders, waitresses,(not door greeters's) seafood companies/Restaraunts and people that work on the beaches should get paid!!! What the heck are these people at Gulf Coast Claims thinking??? Pay the people and get it over with, if not, those people will win in court and you will end up paying a hell of alot more than you could have ever thought of! Make a big problem simple! I live in the state of Hawaii and no matter what they say the fact is is their poison is in the Pacific Ocean, if you put a bottle in the ocean it will travel across the ocean and so will their poison.God bless America. I write payroll for hundreds of companies throughout the states affected and you wouldnt believe the people that are filing these claims and actually getting paid. Its very sad to see people who havent lost anything getting money that the people who have been affected to such great deal cant even get. I believe that BP or whoever is in charge of this should really be evaulting these claims. I think that this is the saddest thing ever.
